Jason Bourne Review
Matt Damon was nominated for The Martian, Alicia Vikander just won an Oscar for The Danish Girl, and Paul Greengrass last film prior to this was Captain Phillips which was one of my favorite films of 2013. This film is a huge step back for all of them.
Nerve Review
With a messed up premise to make teenagers do dumb things, Nerve is a film that boasts charming leads and unexpectedly have more thought to say thanks to directing duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman.
Star Trek Beyond Review
Right off the bat with the introduction to the film, Justin Lin’s director perception of Star Trek is very similar to JJ Abrams but in a way much better. You see Lin capture what made his last 2 Fast and Furious films great and applied it to this Star Trek film which is (as Vin Diesel famously says) family.
Lights Out Review
With this being a small 2 minute short that was impressively filmed, you would guess there wasn’t much to expect with this film. You guessed wrong. Lights Out has to be the most perfect PG13 horror film since Insidious.

By this point, I’m convinced 20th Century Fox doesn’t care for making family films unless it involves them making a quick buck. I swear beyond the 3D glasses I saw an animal laundering money for Fox in the background.

What is great about Illumination’s newest animated film is that there are constant creative character designs for every character they create and the variation of pets in The Secret of Pets. We know the type of humor the studio is capable of with funny visual gags and quirky dialogue and this film is nothing short of that.

The BFG Review
Even that, the humor is bottom of the barrel unfunny that there are moments you ask, "is this Spielberg?" There are fart gags and physical humor that might entertain kids but make adults cringe.
